Australian Goldfield Burl Desk Set
This one-of- a kind desk set base is “Australian Goldfield Burl”, a generic name given by the Australian government to sanctioned logging operations. The burls are harvested in the “Goldfields Region” of Western and Eastern parts of Australia. These burls usually are Eucalyptus.
Burls grow as deformities on tree trunks and branches that have suffered some type of stress. The grain of the burl often varies from that of the natural tree or bush, resulting in gorgeous patterns and appearance.
The base measures approximately 13 X 7 inches with room to add a personalized brass plate.
One Slimline Executive style pen designed by Norman. It is a twist pen that can be inserted into the funnel either open or closed, to further protect the ballpoint nib. Pull the two sections apart to access the black Cross style refill. The pen’s decorative metal is gold plating and the body is African Blackwood. The pen funnel also is gold.
The clock is gold and chrome. It can be removed from the front of its support stand. The battery and setting can then be accessed on the back.
