Maple Burl Desk Set

This one-of-a-kind desk set base is Maple Burl.  Burls grow as deformities on tree trunks and branches that have suffered some type of stress.  The grain of the burl often varies from that of the natural tree, resulting in gorgeous patterns and appearance.  Maple Burl is very distinctive and sought after wood.

The base measures approximately 20 X 12 inches with room to add a personalized brass plate.

 The Pens

There are two Slimline Executive style pens designed by Norman.  These twist pens may be inserted into the funnels either open or closed, to further protect the ballpoint nibs.  One pen has black ink and the second blue. The center bands are different to help identify the ink colors.  Pull the two pen sections apart to access the Cross style refill. 

Each pen’s decorative metal is gold plating and the body is African Blackwood. The pen funnels also are gold.

 The Clock

The clock is gold and chrome.  It can be removed from the front of its support stand. The battery and setting can then be accessed on the back.

 Business Card/Picture Frame Holders

Each dual purpose gold business card holder can display business cards or a picture frame. The two frames we include each holds a 3 X 5 picture and is easily inserted or removed from the holder.  A second picture can be inserted into a frame to be viewed from the back side.
