Kudos

Following are some of the comments we have received about our pens and our website.  If a comment is from a business owner, we have provided a link to that business website.

Norman, thank you for the beautiful stylus!  It’s like a piece of jewelry hanging on my phone, but so practical too. I’m making fewer mistakes when I text people and so it’s turning out to be easier. I also like that a percent of the cost went to charity.  It was well worth the drive up to Vancouver to get it. Thanks again!

Norm---Got the [reclaimed oak wine barrel] pen today. It's beautiful. I love it. I think you will make a big success of this business. You can be proud of the product you are producing.

Best Regards.

Norman

I already checked out your website. You have some amazing pens on there. My husband loved the pen I bought him for Father’s Day. We both love the historic pens as well.

Thanks,

Lisa

Christmas greetings,

The pen was received and it is beautiful.  I know that the person receiving this gift will enjoy using it for sometime to come.  Thank you.  Grace and Peace,

"Our son is the commander of the 391st fighter squadron known as the 'Bold Tigers'. We've attempted to have a 'Bold Tiger' pen made on several occasions only to be told that the acrylic was too brittle. Kudos. It (the pen he ordered) looks great."

Regarding our Historic Pens category:

Norman,
Great job on the pen and presentation!

FEEDBACK from Wood-N-Whimsies October 2011 Newsletter

This suggestion comes from Norman Paulk, The Pen Man.

"When I do an inlay pen, before applying CA, I rub black sawdust into any lines. Now the brass tube will not show through anywhere. After I sand the blank (I am not a good skewer), I take a large pin and lightly scrape any light colored dust from any of the black lines. Now my CA finish results in sharp details. A good way to get fine sawdust is to rough sand (60 grit) a piece of black wood."

Thanks Norman for the great idea.

"Norman, pen received. I now have twins - a harlequin in GP and yours in rhodium. Yours is as well made and cost me 20% less. That always makes me happy. Thank you".

"Hi Norman,

I received the Classic Mokume M3 Jr. Gentlemen's pen yesterday and it is awesome! Thanks for the prompt service. I found your site when I googled Mokume pens. Please let me know when you make more Mokume pens as I am interested!"

"Dear Norman, I just want to say Thank You for such a beautiful piece of art and craftsmanship in my lovely pen! I had to fight with my husband to let me use it instead of putting it on display in my china cabinet... I have a feeling once our client's are using it to sign contracts they will have to order their own".

"We love Norman’s work.  He buys pen parts and blanks from our store, and we are always amazed at the quality of his work. We look forward to him coming to the store so we can see his next beautiful creation."

"Wow, what a nice collection Norm, I really like your Butter Cream Classic Elite, Earth's Core Sierra Elegant is also very attractive.  The Molten Copper Sierra Click reminds me of the very popular rose gold, but the Molten Metal Sierra is the winner."

"I had a chance to check out your website today, I think it looks great!  It is very easy to navigate and user friendly.  I will start spreading the word."

"Thanks for letting us know about your web site. We have spent some time looking at it. Since we are working on so many different art items, we are always looking for supplies, etc for our projects. Living in the coastal wilderness requires us to drive to Longview, Portland or Seattle for supplies; however, we much prefer shopping on-line. So we get to view a lot of different web sites.

We have a couple of areas we use for judging a site: Is the site user friendly and is it easy to navigate? Can you find everything and is the subject complete or informative? Boy! Have we experienced some poorly designed sites.

Out of the many web sites we have experienced, we found your site to be extremely user friendly and very easy to navigate. It is very informative and the photos are excellent. You have also taken a static web site and moved it to an interactive site with the use of the links or buttons. This is becoming the norm and even our Peninsula Arts Association is developing a 'Facebook Page' with a link to/from our web site.

A very good job. Your pens are gorgeous. You do an excellent job on them. I do want to let you know our thoughts on your studio/work area ... ENVY."
